Veneer

Veneer

A genuine wood top layer

Our tops are made of a sheet of real wood veneer assembled according an unique mix and match technique developed over decades of experience. The surface is gently brushed, stained and lacquered. The result is a surface pleasant at touch and where the protection, the natural feel and exclusive appearance of the wood are all very well balanced. Veneer is a tribute to the warmth of trees and nature. Each top is an homage to wood and craftsmanship. A combination of tradition, technology, and attention to detail. Nature at its best. We use fine-tuned and ultra-modern techniques to give our veneer the feel of solid wood, with a deeper brushing and softer feel than any wood on the market. Our new extra matte finish brings out the beauty and warmth of the wood and by brushing deeper, we enhance the authentic structure of each wood grain.

Sustainable solution

The wood for our veneer comes from responsibly managed forests. Through the unique mixmatch technology that our craftsmen use during the production process, they can create a harmonious surface from carefully selected bundles, of high quality. Exclusively green energy is utilized for the production of the panels, including solar energy from the roofs of production halls and externally sourced green energy. The most environmentally friendly technology is employed for staining and lacquering, ensuring no harmful emissions. Both the MDF core and the real wood top layer are FSC certified, guaranteeing responsible forestry practices. The glues, stains, and varnishes used in the manufacture of PR-veneer are free from harmful VOCs (volatile organic compounds).

Maintenance tips

Normal maintenance involves no more than removing dust with a soft, dry cloth. A slightly damp cloth can be used, but be careful not to use too much water. If liquids are spilled, it’s recommended that they should be dried off immediately. Tough dirt can be removed using water and a mild cleaning agent or a detergent. Never use a cleaning based on acetone or ethyl butyl acetate. Wax and oil can also cause damage.
